Quilting Challenge

  Challenge Series # 6 - Water

How would you define WATER in a quilt? Interpret the word WATER in fabric in any way you wish! Can WATER be a piecing pattern such as Storms at Sea or Ocean Waves? Can water be an appliqué pattern or a quilting design? Or something else? All of these and more?
  Let your creativity soar!!

It is easy to be part of the Water Quilting Challenge.  Just create your project as desired and machine quilt it using batting(s) and a backing fabric. Use any fabrics, threads, battings, techniques – piecing or quilting – you desire.

Please keep note of the patterns, techniques, fabrics, threads, battings, etc. that you use in your challenge quilt. We would like to know the details for the Quilt Show Catalog.

Enter your project in the Innovations 2008 Quilt Show in the Water Challenge Category. The Quilt Show Entry Forms will be online in late May.  They will also be in the Innovations 2008 Class Catalog.

More than one person may work on the Water Quilting Challenge entry. Each person who is listed on the Quilt Show entry form will be given credit for contributing to the completed piece.

The Water Quilting Challenge Quilts will be entered into the Innovations 2008 Quilt Show in a separate category. The Quilting Challenge Quilts will be Peer Judged during the Peer Judging event on Wednesday and Thursday of the Quilt Show. The winner will be awarded a cash prize.

Teachers are eligible to participate in this special category.

Please sign up on our E-Mailing List to be sure you receive a copy of the 2008 Class Catalog.
