Innovations 2008

 
Innovations 2008 will be held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, Tacoma, WA, across the parking lot from the Hotel Murano (formerly the Tacoma Sheraton Hotel.)

Hotel Murano

Innovations 2008 is proud to announce that the Hotel Murano (formerly the Sheraton Tacoma Hotel) s once again the Host Hotel for this year's event.
 

The 26 floor, newly re-decorated, Hotel Murano is centrally located in downtown Tacoma, just 16 miles from the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport.  Major destinations such as Puget Sound, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, the Tacoma Dome, the Washington State History Museum and the Port of Tacoma are nearby and easily accessible.  Only an hour’s drive from the breathtaking Mount Rainier, the Hotel is a quick 32 miles from downtown Seattle.

The Hotel Murano (formerly the Sheraton Tacoma Hotel) has a block of rooms, with special room rates, reserved for people attending Innovations. Hotel Murano has graciously provided Innovations with direct links to their registration pages for these blocks of rooms!

Tacoma Dome Best Western Hotel

Innovations also has a block of rooms reserved for attendees at the Best Western Tacoma Dome Hotel www.tacomadomehotel.com, 2611 East “E” Street, Tacoma, WA.  A special room rate for Innovations attendees is available and up to four people may share a Double Room. Please note that this hotel is about 1+ mile from the Tacoma Convention Center.  There is access to the Tacoma light rail system at the far end of the hotel parking lot.

Air Travel Information
 

If you are traveling by air, you will fly into Seattle’s Sea-Tac International Airport.

Ground transportation to the Sheraton Tacoma or the Tacoma Convention Center from Sea-Tac (Seattle, WA) Airport is available through –

They can transport you to the Tacoma Sheraton or the Tacoma Convention Center for a reasonable fee. It is recommended that you call and make a reservation for this service.
 

PARKING

There are several options for parking at Innovations:

Hotel Murano offers reduced parking rates for hotel guests.  Valet and Handicapped parking is also available at the hotel.  

Parking is available at the Tacoma  Convention Center. The fee for parking is as follows: 0—1 hour, $2; 2—3 hours, $4; 3—4 hours, $6; 4—5 hours, $8; 5—6 hours, $10; 6+ hours, $12.  Overnight parking is not recommended. This is an automated pay facility and accepts cash and credit cards.

If you are driving to Tacoma each day of the conference or would like to park off site for lower parking fees or at no charge, you can park at the Tacoma Dome Station, 610 Puyallup Ave., Tacoma, WA and take the free light rail system to the Tacoma Convention Center.
